i’m from the united states and i love learning languages and being a polyglot! I’ve always loved the way Russian sounds, and have even listened to songs…but it has always intimidated me, and had me going after the easier languages instead. I’m a college student, and i do landscaping to support myself until i have a college education…so i will be able to make use of the mp3′s.
Thank you!

I’m working with your stupendous Russian course (princeton_course.zip), along my Russian lessons at a school here in Winterthur, Switzerland. I do especially appreciate the use of every day language in it (audios).
Now I tried to insert some additional text (meaning, perfective verbs, …, etc.), with the touch-up tool of Acrobat Professional, but you seem to use some other system font than I do and therefore, the programm did not accept my changes. Therefore I kindly ask you to send me the font in use – which I can install on my Macintosh.
Thanks and best regards

Elias,
The “missing” lesson 27 is actually the first part of the Sara story (as you can see if you look at the vocabulary list provided in lesson 33 and the vocabulary list of Sara story 1). Lesson 28 also seems to pick up from lesson 26. So nothing is actually missing, although I haven’t quite worked out yet what is supposed to replace lesson 29.
Also, thank you Mr. Freedel! Your course is absolutely the best available for learning Russian!

SLA101 – Year 1 which also incorporates the Story of Sara;
SLA105;
SLA 207;
I’m almost done with SLA 101 after many year of self-study. Have not started with 105 and 207 yet, they are for more advanced level learners.
I’ve found
http://myrussianteacher.org/russian-lessons.html
to be just the perfect companion for this course as it:
1. corrects many of the errors (typos and mismatched audio and text) found on the downloaded files.
2. Provide full answers to all the questions. Something very essential when studying Russian on your own.
3. You can read and listen to the audio recording all on the same page. Really convenient. And answers and relevant sections are all linked nicely so it’s easy to find topics one is looking for.
Have a look at the site before you decide to download this enormous file.
Happy learning

I somehow stumbled upon this website and am really amazed at this great language course – thank you so much for providing this course! I have been studying Polish for nearly two years now quite intensely, and I somehow feel that now might be the right time to have a closer look at Russian
Of course I haven’t had a very close look at your course by now, but judging by Chapter 1 I already know that I like your sense of humor
Best wishes and thanks again!

I downloaded this FANTASTIC material some months ago, and I’ve been studying it systematically.
The problem is that, as there are no answers, one can never know if you are answering bullshit or not.
If some of you are interested, we could make an international distance education group!!
Currently, I am over SLA101 – lesson 33.

Actual practicing of speech however remains essential to really master the language at this level!
Anybody interested in setting up a community via Skype or so, to regularly speak to each other in Russian based on the progress in this course?
If so, please skype me at: peterrozemeijer. My current progress as a starter is now around lesson 25 of SLA101
