  1. Language Geek - Princeton Russian in a zip file Says:
[...] Harold let me know that the Princeton Russian course, which I had made a torrent file for, is now available as a zip file from freelanguagecourses.com. I can assure you from experience that getting it from that site will be 1) much faster and 2) much less hassle, than it would be if you got it via the torrent.  You can locate the zip file link here; just pay attention to the stipulations for the download. (Basically, contact the creator and let him know you’re using it.) [...]

Hi, I am having difficulties opening downloading this course. I have already sent the author the required email as per your instructions, but when I either 1.) click on the zip file link, the page comes up with a “taking too much time to respond” page or if I 2.) right-click the link for a direct download, none of the course content downloads at all.

    Any suggestions?

I’ve always loved the way Russian sounds, and have even listened to songs…but it has always intimidated me, and had me going after the easier languages instead. I’m a college student, and i do landscaping to support myself until i have a college education…so i will be able to make use of the mp3’s.

I shall be visiting Russia in 2009 on a cultural trip. One can get a lot more out of such a trip if one knows at least the elements of the language of a country one visits. After such trips, I got hooked on some languages and I am able to make simple conversation in several of them.

  50. Robert Says:
The download took most of a day, and then the unzip screws up even a Mac. Installation was therefor not possible. Do not bother with this course unless/until the compression problem is fixed. It is not worth the time and frustration. Uncompressing works right up to the end, and you will think you have mastered it, but then the app goes into an endless loop that locks up your computer and you have to crash it.
  51. James Says:
I downloaded his (on a mac) a few days ago without any problem. Everything has been great so far.
