I started with chinese. Now back to english. I think that Chinese is a good language to learn. However, I am certain that Mandarin and Cantonese are not 'Chinese'. I mean there is no language called 'Chinese'. It can be Mandarin, Cantonese, Hakka, Manchurian, etc. Incidentally, Hakka is the most spoken language in the Hakka region. Hakka region according to the old scholars include Modern China, Korea, Nangalia (Mongolia), Taiwan and parts of Tibet. So, I think its better to learn Hakka than Mandarin. Ni how??
