First Year Chinese II is a mandarin Chinese course of the Utah State University. The course is under a Creative Commons License.

Overview

This course provides an understanding of basic principles of Chinese speaking and written language. The focus is on pronunciation and simple Chinese character writing.

Objectives

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Read and write Chinese characters from Lesson 1 to Lesson 15 of Practical Chinese Reader
  2. Obtain skills to accomplish exercises from Exercise V to Exercise IX of Practical Chinese Reader I: Patterns & Exercises
  3. Carry on simple daily conversation
